Cease Smack'N originally started in Chef Murf's mom's house in 2020 during COVID-19 and grew into a much bigger enterprise resulting from their social media fan base.

They said that any funds raised by way of the GoFundMe will go to catching up on overhead costs and money owed from last yr's sluggish season.

The restaurant officially opened in July 2021 and has given jobs to college students, DC residents, and minorities.

"Since opening, it has been extremely challenging as we now have handled COVID-19 restrictions and an increase in crime, which has left lots of our clients afraid to dine out," the publish continued.

Additionally they stated that they have constructed many relationships with local schools, organizations, and other eating places and businesses.
