She was among the many Californians who acquired Employment Improvement Department prepaid debit playing cards in the course of the pandemic that contained unemployment benefits.

However Suchomel observed two fees – one totaling $1500 from the posh model Neiman Marcus and another for $1,200, per the CBS affiliate KPIX-TV.

"It had been drained overnight, the day earlier than lease was due," she informed KPIX-TV.

Suchomel filed a claim to attempt to get well the lacking money.

Financial institution of America didn't provide a comment on Suchomel's specific case.

The U.S. Sun has approached Bank of America for further comment.

Suchomel was not the only EDD recipient who had seen hundreds of dollars taken from her account.

An EDD spokesperson advised KPIX that the bank is answerable for tackling fraud instances.

Anthony Serafino, who lost his job at a bowling alley, was deprived of $10,000. He was later reimbursed.

Problems began to arise when his card was blocked when he tried to withdraw $20, as originally reported by the ABC affiliate KGO-TV.

Serafino went into a financial institution department however staffers reportedly advised him that they couldn't help.

"They stated only Bank of America can do this. I referred to as Financial institution of America. They stated only EDD can do this… it went forwards and backwards," he stated.

Serafino's account was locked before it was unfrozen.

However then he made the discovery that $10,000 had been transferred to EDD chiefs.

"It was exactly $10,000," he lamented.

But, there have been several transactions – the sum wasn't transferred in only one chunk.

The U.S. Solar reported how Alfredo Mancilla saw $15,000 wiped from his debit card – earlier than he was later reimbursed.

He stated he used the money to cowl his payments and help his family.

It emerged that his account had been linked to an individual in Texas.

"I advised them that the transfers that have been being made weren't mine… the account numbers weren't mine," Mancilla stated.

He tried to get well the money however was knocked again 3 times.

"It felt like I acquired hit in the stomach once they denied my claim the primary time, the second time, and the third time," he cried.

Chiefs have been convinced that no error had occurred.

But, Financial institution of America reimbursed Mancilla with the money that had been taken from his account.
